Where Fort Wayne Meets the Stars.

The Fort Wayne Astronomical Society (FWAS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1959, dedicated to supporting amateur astronomy and bringing the universe closer to the public through education and outreach.

Our volunteers operate the Star*Quest Observatory in Jefferson Township Park, just 20 minutes east of downtown Fort Wayne, where we host stargazing, programs, and opportunities to explore the night sky with our community.

We invite you to explore our upcoming events or become a member to connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts and deepen your experience of the cosmos.
